100 Phan Chau Trinh
Why Eat Here?
Because it's famous among locals.
A local friend of mine who I met through my English club brought me here and guided me through the process of choosing a porridge (I chose beef) as well as choosing the toppings and mix-ins you can add.
I went with pork floss and a cucumber salad on the side.
It was only 50K a person and I liked how I could tailor it to my liking as I don’t like seafood which is common with these kinds of soups.
Drive yourself to the cityside and visit this local gem.
Poke Bowl
Why Eat here?
I don’t think it matters where you come from, it's highly unlikely that you can find a filling and delicious poke bowl for under 3USD.
But you can at Vietnom.
Its a popular place that serves poke, fusion foods and traditional eats.
We order the spicy cay cay bowl for 70K and enjoy a nice lunch in the AC.
Com Tam Ut Van
Why eat here?
Because it's just outside the hustle and bustle of An Thuong but close enough to be easy to get to if you are in the My An area.
Located just between my house and my go to pickle ball court, it's a great option with some full meals costing only 65K (2.50 USD)
The broken rice with pork chop was great and the service was amazing.
Andrew loves the chicken fried in fat and bok choy.
I think they even gave us each a free dessert or appetizer.
Check it out for local food in a cute atmosphere.

Why eat here?
Because it feels like home cooked meals.
Lasagna, burritos, sandwiches, chicken and vegetables.
The prices are great and each day of the week has a different special.
On mondays all pasta dishes are only 65K.
I like to go on Tuesdays and get their chicken strips for 50K.
It's on a side street in An Thoung but it can get busy in the evening because the food is great and you can’t beat the price.
Kin kin
Why eat here?
Because Vegetable Pad Thai here is only 50k, that's $2 U.S. dollars.
This pad Thai is better than some of the places we tried when we were in Bangkok this year.
You can get curries and soups for around the same price and most meals we order are 50-75k each.

Because it's the best smoothie bowl AND the cheapest I have seen in DaNang.
They don’t have a full food menu but it's a great healthy bowl to start your day.
I always get Ruby brushstokes but I have tried them all and give my whole hearted approval to trying any of their bowls or drinks!
Lets Taco
Why eat here?
Mexican food or Texmex is hard to find here.
Sometimes restaurants skimp on the important ingredients and sacrifice quality.
Let’s Tacos makes amazing tacos with fresh tortillas and marinated chicken, steak and carnitas that are to die for.
Although the steak and pork tacos are just outside that 3 dollar price range (they are $4) there are the chicken tacos that are only 85K.
The owner is a friend of mine and has even been a guest at my English club.
